description: This study aims to determine the effect of negative content on social media on the aggressive behavior of children aged 4–5 years, and to analyze the role of parents insupervising and guiding children when accessing social media. The back ground of this study is based on the widespread use of platforms such asYoutube by children, which not only provide educational content but also age-inappropriate content, such asviolence or hatred. This study use saquantitative approach with a survey method. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the study were 30 children aged 4–5 years at Al-Hikmat Kindergarten, Cipocok District, Serang City, Banten Province, who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis used korelasion and simple linear regression. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence between negative content on social media and children's aggressive behavior, with a contribution of 22%. This study also found that lack of parental supervision also increased the risk of children being exposed to negative content. Therefore, the active role of parents is very much needed to minimize the negative impact of social media on children's emotional and behavioral development.
