The marriage of a Danish man named Rasmus Niel Jensen with a native Pandeglang woman named Fanny. The marriage of Rasmus Niel Jensen and Fanny has now been blessed with one child named Freya Niel. The identification of the problem in this research is: How is legal protection for children in mixed marriages between Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals reviewed based on Law Number 35 of 2014 on the amendment of Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection? And what is the status of children in mixed marriages between Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals in Pandeglang Regency? The theory used in this research is the theory of Legal Protection and Legal Certainty. The research methods used are empirical juridical and normative juridical with a case and legislative approach specification, utilizing primary data sources in the form of interviews and secondary data sources in the form of literature, as well as qualitative techniques to analyze the data obtained descriptively and analytically. The research results indicate that the marriage of Rasmus Niel Jensen and Fanny has currently been blessed with one child named Freya Niel, who until now does not have a birth certificate. Based on Article 27 of Law Number 35 of 2014 on the Amendment of Law Number 23 of 2002 on Child Protection, it is clearly stated that a child has the right to an identity, and every child must be given this identity from birth. Currently, Freya Niel has dual citizenship, namely Indonesian and Danish.
