description: Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a horticultural crop with high economic value, but its productivity remains low due to pest attacks, climate change, the use of low-quality seeds, imbalanced fertilization, and declining soil fertility. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of liquid organic fertilizer doses and mulch types on the growth and yield of shallots (Bima Brebes variety) and their interactions. The research utilized a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors: liquid organic fertilizer doses (0 ml, 200 ml, and 250 ml per plot) and mulch types (no mulch, rice straw mulch, and black silver plastic mulch). Nine treatment combinatiotn were tested with three replicatiotn. The results revealed that applying 250 ml of liquid organic fertilizer produced the best plant height, leaf number, bulb number, bulb diameter, fresh weight, and dry weight. The use of black silver plastic mulch was more effective than no mulch or rice straw mulch. Interaction between liquid organic fertilizer and mulch types significantly affected plant height and leaf number at certain growth stages but did not significantly influence bulb diameter, fresh weight, or dry weight. In conclusion, the application of 250 ml of liquid organic fertilizer combined with black silver plastic mulch is recommended to enhance the yield of shallots (Bima Brebes variety). Further research is needed to evaluate adaptation to climate change and the efficiency of these treatments.
