Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh meningkatnya jumlah anak tunalaras yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola emosi dan perilaku, serta kurangnya akses terhadap program rehabilitasi yang efektif, yang berdampak negatif pada perkembangan psikososial mereka. Metode yang digunakan adalah True Experimental Design dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, melibatkan 38 subjek yang dipilih secara acak. Kelompok eksperimen menerima perlakuan Art Therapy selama enam sesi, masing-masing berdurasi 40 menit, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak menerima perlakuan tersebut. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Art Therapy berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kontrol diri anak tunalaras, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0,05). Peningkatan kontrol diri terlihat pada aspek kontrol perilaku, kontrol kognitif, dan kontrol keputusan, dengan kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan rata-rata skor post-test sebesar 122,21, meningkat 35,05 poin dari pre-test. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Art Therapy tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media ekspresi kreatif, tetapi juga sebagai metode intervensi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengendalian diri anak tunalaras. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan program rehabilitasi yang lebih inklusif dan efektif bagi anak tunalaras di Indonesia.}, author = {Ratu Indah Rachmayanti}, school = {UNIVERSITAS SULTAN AGENG TIRTAYASA}, url = {https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49623/}, abstract = {This study aims to explore the impact of Art Therapy on improving self-control in children with behavioral issues at SKH Istimewa LPKA Class I Tangerang. The background of this research is based on the increasing number of children with behavioral issues who struggle to manage their emotions and behaviors, as well as the lack of access to effective rehabilitation programs, which negatively affects their psychosocial development. The method used is a True Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving 38 subjects selected randomly. The experimental group received Art Therapy treatment for six sessions, each lasting 40 minutes, while the control group did not receive any treatment. Statisca analysis results indicate that the implementation of Art Therapy has a significant effect on the self-control of children with behavioral issues, with a significance value of 0.000 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05). Improvements in self-control were observed in the aspects of behavioral control, cognitive control, and decision-making, with the experimental group showing an average post-test score of 122.21, an increase of 35.05 points from the pre-test. These findings demonstrate that Art Therapy not only serves as a medium for creative expression but also as an effective intervention method for enhancing self-control in children with behavioral issues. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more inclusive and effective rehabilitation programs for children with behavioral issues in Indonesia.}, keywords = {Art Therapy, Self-Control, Children with Behavioral Issues, Art Therapy, Kontrol Diri, Anak Tunalaras,} }
