description: International affairs within the scope of warfare have increasingly become a  frequent occurrence in recent times. In reality, there are numerous deviations and  actions that ultimately result in crimes and the neglect of human rights. The conflict  between Russia and Ukraine serves as concrete evidence of violations of the  boundaries set by International Humanitarian Law through acts that deviate from  the provisions of the Third Geneva Convention of 1949. Understanding the  regulations that govern these issues and the implementation of such rules by the  parties involved in the conflict becomes a critical subject of study in this research.  This study employs the Theory of Legal Protection and the Principle of NonDiscrimination as the theoretical framework to analyze the implementation of these  principles in the Russia-Ukraine war. These aspects are fundamental to ensuring  that the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 serves as a guiding framework for  warfare. The research utilizes a Normative Juridical method, focusing on examining  the Third Geneva Convention of 1949 and analyzing its application or  implementation in the context of the ongoing conflict. This study reveals numerous  violations and crimes committed in the war, highlighting the urgent need for  stronger and more assertive actions by international institutions tasked with  overseeing and evaluating issues related to warfare. These institutions must  enhance their role in ensuring compliance with humanitarian laws during conflicts  to prevent further violations.
