"Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions can result from several anthropogenic factors, contributing to global warming. One way to reduce CO₂ emissions in the environment is to convert CO₂ gas into a versatile product by reacting it with potassium hydroxide (KOH) to produce potassium carbonate (K₂CO₃). This study aims to understand and analyze factors influencing the chemical reaction, including the KOH solution concentration, stirring speed, and operating temperature, to optimize K₂CO₃ production. The experiment was conducted using a chemical absorption method by preparing KOH solutions with concentrations of 6, 7, and 8 M. The solution was placed into a three-neck flask, and the operating temperatures were set at 30°C, 40°C, and 50°C, with stirring speeds of 200 and 300 rpm. CO₂ gas was flowed into the three-neck flask at a rate of 1.5 liters per minute. After the experiment, the results were tested using simple gravimetric analysis, FTIR, and SEM. The results indicated that higher concentrations, stirring speeds, and operating temperatures resulted in increased K₂CO₃ yield. The best variation was obtained under operating conditions of 8 M KOH concentration, 50°C temperature, and a stirring speed of 300 rpm, producing 54.94 grams of K₂CO₃."^^ .
