Indometal Prima Perkasa Cikande) creator: Suleman, Suleman subject: K Law (General) description: The Indonesian National Standard (SNI) is a mandatory regulation that must be met by business actors in the trade of certain products, including light steel. However, there are still business actors who trade products without an SNI certificate, as seen in the case of PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa Cikande. This poses risks to consumers and violates the provisions of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade. This study aims to examine and determine the responsibility of PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa for trading zinc-coated steel without an Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certificate and to examine and determine the legal protection for consumers regarding the trade of zinc-coated steel products without an SNI certificate. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory and case study approach. Data is obtained through literature studies and interviews with various relevant parties, such as regulators and consumers. The results of the study indicate that business actors who fail to comply with SNI certification obligations violate Article 57 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade. This violation may result in administrative sanctions, including fines, product recalls, or business activity termination. Moreover, non- compliance with SNI negatively impacts consumer protection, as consumers are at risk of using products that do not meet safety and quality standards. The case of PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa demonstrates that violations of this obligation, whether due to negligence or intent, lead to legal liability. The state is obliged to provide preventive and repressive mechanisms to protect consumer rights. The government, through relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Trade and the National Standardization Agency (BSN), as well as regional authorities such as the Office of Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade, must enhance market surveillance and conduct continuous educational campaigns on the importance of choosing SNI-certified products. date: 2025 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/2/SULEMAN_1111190085_FULL%20TEXT.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/4/SULEMAN_1111190085_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/5/SULEMAN_1111190085_03.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/6/SULEMAN_1111190085_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/7/SULEMAN_1111190085_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/8/SULEMAN_1111190085_REFF.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/9/SULEMAN_1111190085_LAMP.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/19/SULEMAN_1111190085_01.pdf identifier: Suleman, Suleman (2025) THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BUSINESS ACTORS FOR PRODUCTS WITHOUT INDONESIAN NATIONAL STANDARD (SNI) CERTIFICATION IN RELATION TO LAW NUMBER 7 OF 2014 ON TRADE (Case Study of PT.
