Hal ini menimbulkan risiko bagi konsumen serta melanggar ketentuan Undangundang Nomor 20 Tahun 2014 tentang Standardisasi dan Penilaian Kesesuaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengkaji dan mengetahui tanggung jawab PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa atas Perdagangan baja lapis seng yang tidak memiliki sertifikat Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan Mengkaji dan mengetahui perlindungan hukum terhadap konsumen atas perdagangan produk baja lapis seng yang tidak memiliki sertifikat Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan dan wawancara dengan berbagai pihak terkait, seperti regulator dan konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku usaha yang tidak memenuhi kewajiban sertifikasi SNI melanggar Pasal 57 Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2014 tentang Perdagangan. Pelanggaran ini dapat dikenakan sanksi administratif berupa denda, penarikan produk, atau penghentian kegiatan usaha. Selain itu, ketidakpatuhan terhadap SNI berdampak negatif terhadap perlindungan konsumen, yang berisiko menggunakan produk yang tidak memenuhi standar keselamatan dan kualitas. Kasus PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa menunjukkan bahwa pelanggaran terhadap kewajiban ini, baik yang disebabkan oleh kelalaian maupun kesengajaan, berujung pada tanggung jawab hukum. Negara wajib menyediakan mekanisme preventif dan represif untuk melindungi hak-hak konsumen. Indometal Prima Perkasa for trading zinc-coated steel without an Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certificate and to examine and determine the legal protection for consumers regarding the trade of zinc-coated steel products without an SNI certificate. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory and case study approach. Data is obtained through literature studies and interviews with various relevant parties, such as regulators and consumers. The results of the study indicate that business actors who fail to comply with SNI certification obligations violate Article 57 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade. This violation may result in administrative sanctions, including fines, product recalls, or business activity termination. Moreover, non- compliance with SNI negatively impacts consumer protection, as consumers are at risk of using products that do not meet safety and quality standards. The case of PT. Indometal Prima Perkasa demonstrates that violations of this obligation, whether due to negligence or intent, lead to legal liability. The state is obliged to provide preventive and repressive mechanisms to protect consumer rights. The government, through relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Trade and the National Standardization Agency (BSN), as well as regional authorities such as the Office of Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade, must enhance market surveillance and conduct continuous educational campaigns on the importance of choosing SNI-certified products.}, url = {https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49523/} }
