Dampak diabetes melitus ini mempengaruhi psikologi yaitu mengalami stress terhadap dirinya yang berkaitan dengan pengobatan yang sedang dijalani. Stress tersebut dapat diatasi dengan terapi komplementer salah satunya terapi guided imagery. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh guided imagery terhadap stress pada pasien diabetes melitus. Metode: Metode penelitian kuantitatf dengan desain analitik pre experiment dengan one group pretest-posttest.Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan total 34 responden dengan menggunakan instrumen Depresi Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS). Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil dari 34 responden tingkat stress sebelum dilakukan terapi guided imagery mengalami stress sedang sebanyak 29 orang (85,3\%), kemudian tingkat stress setelah diberikan terapi guided imagery mengalami stres ringan sebanyak 30 (88,2\%). Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test memiliki p value sebesar 0,000 yang {\ensuremath{<}}0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh guided imagery terhadap tingkat stress pasien diabetes melitus.
