Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi-eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran RME dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran Ekspositori. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan numerasi yang mencakup pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara penggunaan model pembelajaran RME terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran RME dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa, khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat SMP. abstract: This study examines the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model on the numeracy skills of junior high school students at SMP Negeri 10 Kota Serang. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the study involved seventh-grade students enrolled during the 2024/2025 academic year. Two classes were randomly selected as the sample: an experimental group taught using the RME model and a control group taught through the expository method. The research instrument consisted of a numeracy skills assessment administered both before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results indicate a statistically significant positive effect of the RME model on students’ numeracy skills.
