description: This study examines the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model on the numeracy skills of junior high school students at SMP Negeri 10 Kota Serang. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the study involved seventh-grade students enrolled during the 2024/2025 academic year. Two classes were randomly selected as the sample: an experimental group taught using the RME model and a control group taught through the expository method. The research instrument consisted of a numeracy skills assessment administered both before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results indicate a statistically significant positive effect of the RME model on students’ numeracy skills. These findings suggest that the RME model is an effective pedagogical strategy for enhancing numeracy competencies, particularly in the context of junior high school mathematics instruction.
