description: In 2024, Banten Province entered the top ten contributors to early marriage rates in Indonesia, this phenomenon continues to receive public attention. The research became interesting after it was felt that early marriage was an emergency in Banten   Province. Based on this, the research conducted answered: 1). What are the because motives for marriage in women who marry early in Banten Province?; 2). What are in order to motives for marriage in women who marry early in Banten Province?; and 3).   What is the meaning of marriage in women who marry early in Banten Province? This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type with Alfred Schutz's Phenomenology   theory, using a constructivism paradigm, selecting subjects using a purposive sampling technique of five women who are still minors, including source triangulation for accurate data validity. The results of the study on the motives causing marriage in women who marry at an early age in Banten Province are because of the motive of having a romantic relationship, marrying accidentally, not knowing the age limit for marriage, following the wishes of parents and following religious teachings and the motives for the purpose of marriage in women who marry at an early age in Banten Province are because of the motive of wanting to have a partner, wanting to improve the economy, wanting to get affection, wanting to avoid adultery, wanting to carry out worship and the meaning of marriage in women who marry at an early age in Banten   Province is marriage as a social demand and moral responsibility, marriage as happiness and affection, marriage as worship, marriage is hiding shame, marriage is forced.
