description: Background : Based on the central statistics agency, in 2022, the total population  of Banten Province is estimated to reach 12,431.39 people. Looking at the data  from BPS, from 2022 to 2024, there has been an increase in the population in  Banten Province every year. The use of contraceptive methods is an action aimed  at regulating the population. Long-Term Contraceptive Methods, such as  Intrauterine Devices (IUDs), are considered more effective in preventing  pregnancy. Purpose: This study was to determine the relationship between the level  of knowledge of women of childbearing age (WUS) and the use of IUD  contraception. Method: This study used a quantitative type with a cross-sectional  design. A sample of 107 respondents was taken using the Slovin formula from the  WUS population in the Balaraja Health Center work area, Tangerang Regency,  Banten, in 2025. Statistical test analysis using SPSS (Statistical Program for Social  Science) version 21.0. Results: The study showed that out of 107 respondents, only  5 people (55.6%) with good knowledge used IUDs, while 21 people (21.1%) with  good knowledge did not use IUDs. There were no respondents with poor knowledge  who used IUDs, and 42 people (42.2%) from this group did not use IUDs. Statistical  tests showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of WUS and  the use of IUDs P-value = 0.018 (p> 0.005). Conclusion: The results of this study  showed a significant relationship between the relationship to the use of intrauterine  devices (IUDs). Suggestion: The results of this study are expected to be used as  evaluation material in improving family planning services, especially in increasing  the scope of IUD contraceptive use.
