Kesimpulan: Beban kerja tinggi berhubungan signifikan dengan peningkatan otonomi perawat, tetapi tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan perilaku caring. abstract: Background: Inappropriate or excessive workload can affect the quality of nurses’ performance, especially in critical care units such as ICU, NICU, PICU, and ICCU, where patients require intensive nursing care. A high workload may impact the implementation of nurses' autonomy and caring behavior. Objective: To examine the relationship between nurses' workload and their autonomy and caring behavior in the critical care units of RSUD Banten Provincial Hospital. Methods: This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The population included all nurses working in critical care units (N = 84), with a sample of 69 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. Instruments used were the NASA-TLX questionnaire (workload), DPBS (autonomy), and Swanson’s theory-based caring questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. Results: Most nurses had a high workload (56.5%), moderate autonomy (65.2%), and positive caring behavior (78.3%). A significant positive relationship was found between workload and autonomy (r = 0.403; p = 0.001), but no significant relationship was found between workload and caring behavior (r = 0.198; p = 0.103). Conclusion: High workload is significantly associated with increased nurse autonomy but is not significantly related to caring behavior. date: 2025 date_type: published pages: 101 institution: UNIVERSITAS SULTAN AGENG TIRTAYASA department: KEPERAWATAN thesis_type: sarjana thesis_name: sarjana citation: JATTI, DHINNY DEWI KATRESNA (2025) HUBUNGAN BEBAN KERJA PERAWAT DENGAN PENERAPAN OTONOMI DAN PERILAKU CARING PADA PASIEN DI RUANG PERAWATAN KRITIS RSUD PROVINSI BANTEN TAHUN 2025.
