description: Background: The Emergency Department (ED) plays an important role in providing emergency services, including the implementation of triage, which is the process of selecting patients based on the level of urgency. A preliminary study conducted at RSUD Banten Province and RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara found several issues that warrant further research. Objective: To determine the relationship between age, education, length of work, and workload factors with nurses’ knowledge in performing triage in the ED. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken using purposive sampling with a total of 42 respondents. The study was conducted in the ED of RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara and RSUD Banten Province from September 2024 to May 2025. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. Results: More than half of the nurses in the ED (52.4%) had good knowledge in performing triage. Age was not related to nurses’ knowledge with a p-value of 0.782. Education was significantly related to nurses’ knowledge with a p-value of 0.000. Length of work was not related to nurses’ knowledge with a p-value of 0.899. Workload was not related to nurses’ knowledge with a p-value of 0.361. Conclusion: Improving education and training is necessary to enhance nurses’ knowledge in performing triage in the ED.
