High schools description: This study aims to determine the effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall Buka Kotak media on the cognitive learning outcomes of class VIII students on the material of Effort and Energy. This study uses a quasi-experimental design methodology with a Non- Equivalent Control Group Design pattern, which compares two groups with different treatments. The research consisted of 70 students, divided into class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The experimental class implemented TGT learning assisted by Wordwall Buka Kotak, while the control class used the Discovery Learning model without the help of the media. Based on the results of data analysis, the average learning outcomes of class VIII A students reached 79.94, while class VIII B reached 68.8. This shows that the use of the TGT model with Wordwall Buka Kotak media is able to improve students' conceptual understanding better than Discovery Learning. To ensure significant differences in learning outcomes, an Independent Sample T- Test was conducted, which produced a significance value of 0.000.
