In biological control efforts, endophytic fungi can be applied as biological agents to suppress pathogen growth. Endophytic fungi have antagonistic potential in inhibiting the growth of their host. This study aimed to isolate endophytic fungi from the roots of cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica L. Beauv.) and analyze the antagonistic ability of endophytic fungi in inhibiting the growth of the pathogenic fungus Foc in vitro. This research was a quantitative research with exploration and experimental methods. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design with five levels of treatment in five replicates. The treatments were: cogon grass endophytic fungus 1 (CEA1), cogon grass endophytic fungus 2 (CEA2), cogon grass endophytic fungus 3 (CEA3), positive control (CP0), and negative control (CPF0). The observed variables were: percentage inhibition, area of fungal colony growth, macroscopic morphological characterization, and pathogenicity. The results showed that 23 isolates of endophytic fungi were successfully isolated from roots of cogon grass, of which six had antagonistic activity. Three isolates with strong antagonism activity were encoded CEA1, CEA2, and CEA3. Based on the antagonism test with the dual culture method, the three isolates were antagonistic to the Foc fungus with varying inhibition. Isolate CEA3 showed the best results in inhibiting Foc growth at 4-7 Days After Inoculation (HSI) with a percentage inhibition of up to 58.21% and suppressed the growth area of Foc colonies up to 4.74 cm. The macroscopic characteristics of CEA3 has irregular colony shape, flat topography, granular surface texture, greenish white color, and exudate droplets. Pathogenicity test showed that the isolate CEA3 was not pathogenic. %Z Cendawan patogen Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc) dapat merusak tanaman pisang dengan menyebabkan penyakit layu fusarium. Dalam upaya pengendalian hayati, cendawan endofit dapat diterapkan sebagai agen biologis untuk menekan pertumbuhan patogen. Cendawan endofit berpotensi antagonis dalam menghambat pertumbuhan simbionnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi cendawan endofit asal akar alang-alang (Imperata cylindrica L.) dan menganalisis kemampuan antagonisme cendawan endofit dalam menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan patogen Foc secara in vitro. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksplorasi dan eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan lima taraf perlakuan dalam lima ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicoba yaitu: tiga isolat cendawan endofit alang-alang (CEA1, CEA2, dan CEA3), kontrol positif (CP0), dan kontrol negatif (CPF0). Variabel yang diamati yaitu: persentase daya hambat, luas pertumbuhan koloni cendawan, karakterisasi morfologi secara makroskopis, dan patogenisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 23 isolat cendawan endofit berhasil diisolasi dari akar alang-alang, dimana enam diantaranya terdapat aktivitas antagonisme. Tiga isolat dengan aktivitas antagonisme kuat dikodekan CEA1, CEA2, dan CEA3. Berdasarkan uji antagonisme dengan metode dual culture, ketiga isolat bersifat antagonis terhadap cendawan Foc dengan penghambatan bervariasi. Isolat CEA3 menunjukkan hasil terbaik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Foc pada 4-7 Hari Setelah Inokulasi (HSI) dengan persentase daya hambat hingga 58,21% dan menekan luas pertumbuhan koloni Foc hingga 4,74 cm. Ciri makroskopis CEA3 memiliki bentuk koloni irregular, topografi flat, tekstur permukaan granular, berwarna putih kehijauan, dan ada tetesan eksudat. Uji patogenisitas menunjukkan isolat tersebut tidak bersifat patogen.
