description: This study aims to (a) identify the grammatical units of village names in Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province; (b) determine the toponymic origins of village names in Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province; and (c) develop a teaching module for Indonesian language learning based on the analysis and findings of the researcher. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data analysis techniques include the basic technique of determinant element sorting (PUP) and the advanced technique of comparative matching (HBS). Data collection techniques involve non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation to gather information on village naming in Cimanuk District. The data sources in this study are the village names in Cimanuk District. This research applies the intralingual equivalent method, structural linguistic analysis, and ethnolinguistic analysis. Based on the data analysis, 11 data points were identified: 3 monomorphemic words, 8 polymorphemic words, 6 village names based on physical aspects, and 5 village names based on social aspects. Additionally, 5 data points were found to contain cultural meanings. Other findings indicate that certain village names in Cimanuk District reflect cultural significance. The analysis and findings of this study are utilized in the development of a teaching module on folklore materials for Indonesian language learning at the senior high school level.
