description: This research discusses criminal law protection for victims of wrongful arrest,  particularly in cases of caused by Abuse of Power by police officers. The case  study focuses on Pegi Setiawan, who was wrongly arrested by the West Java Police  in connection with the murder of Vina and Eky in 2016. The research uses the theory  of Legal Protection and Criminal Law, and compares similar cases such as the  wrongful arrest of Subur, Titin, and Supriyani. The research method used is  normative with descriptive analysis based on laws and regulations. The results  show that Pegi Setiawan has not received compensation or restoration of good  name from the West Java Police, in contrast to Supriyani's case who received  restoration of good name although she has not received compensation. In addition,  police officers involved in Pegi's wrongful arrest did not receive adequate  sanctions, in contrast to the cases of Subur and Titin where the perpetrators of  wrongful arrest received removal sanctions.
