High schools description: Scientific literacy is needed in the learning process to discover material concepts through direct learning. One material that students consider quite boring and monotonous resulting in a lack of student motivation in learning is colloid material. This is because colloid material contains abstract and microscopic concepts, so a guided inquiry learning model based on scientific literacy is needed by implementing practicums which aim to enable students to solve problems regarding this material. The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes after implementing a guided inquiry learning model based on scientific literacy in colloidal materials. This research uses Pre Experimental research design with Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The sample involved in this research was 30 XI MIPA 2 students. Improvement in student learning outcomes was measured through test questions and student responses.
