description: Science communication skills in science learning are very important to develop because they are in accordance with the expected achievements in the Graduate Competency Standards set by Permendikbudristek Number 5 of 2022. Based on interviews with teachers and students at one of the junior high schools in Cilegon City, the reality at school, students' science communication skills still tend to be low, this is evidenced by the non-achievement of science communication indicators orally and in writing. This study aims to analyse the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model on the science communication skills of seventh grade students on the theme of Various Variety of Living Things conducted at one of the junior high schools in Cilegon City in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment with the research design of Nonequivalent Pretest Postest Control Group Design. The research sample was 60 students consisting of 30 experimental and control class students each. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with Independent Sample T-Test, it can be concluded that the Flipped Classrooom model has an effect on improving the science communication skills of seventh grade students on the theme of Various Variety of Living Things with a Sig value. (2  tailed) of 0.014 or <0.05. Based on the results of the calculation of the model effectiveness test with the N-Gain score test, the average value of the Flipped Classroom model of 30% is included in the ineffective category to improve science communication skills. Even so, the results of the effect size calculation which measures the amount of influence caused show a value of 0.652879424 which indicates that even though it is not effective, the Flipped Classroom model provides a medium-sized influence on the science communication skills of class VII theme of Various Variety of Living Things, this is indicated by an increase in the pretest score of 35.83 and posttest 58.03 and the results of nontest scores in the form of observation sheets 74.16.
