description: This study aims to evaluate the impact of governance, internal control systems, and leadership style on the performance of the Regional Government of Cilegon City, as well as to examine the role of motivation as a moderating variable in these relationships. The approach applied is associative research with a quantitative method, in which primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to civil servants of echelon III and IV within relevant regional apparatus organizations (OPD). The research findings indicate that governance and internal control systems have a significant positive influence on government performance, while leadership style does not show a significant effect. Motivation is proven to moderate the influence of the three independent variables on government performance. This study contributes to the development of agency theory, particularly in emphasizing the importance of effective governance, robust control systems, and appropriate leadership in driving improvements in government performance. The findings may also serve as a reference for local governments in their efforts to enhance the quality of public services and overall organizational performance
