The theories used in this research are authority theory and public service theory. The research method used in this research is empirical juridical, with research specifications in the form of analytical descriptive, data sources in the form of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The data collection technique is in the form of literature study, field study in the form of interviews. The results obtained in this research are: first, the implementation of the role of the fire and rescue service was carried out in accordance with Additional Attachment Second, the inhibiting factors in its implementation are the lack of placement of fire posts around the Jatinegara sub-district, the lack of fire personnel, and the lack of budget for carrying out socialization. Conclusion: The DKI Jakarta Provincial Fire and Rescue Service in dealing with fires in Jatinegara District Residential Settlements is assisted by the Jatinegara District Fire and Rescue Sector.
