description: Telemedicine is a digital-based healthcare service system that enablesthe provision  of remote healthcare services. The presence of telemedicine aims to address the  gaps in healthcare services in Indonesia. Telemedicine offers numerous benefits  and conveniences if further developed in Indonesia. However, behind the many  advantages of telemedicine's growth in Indonesia, this research identifies two main  issues. First, what is the legal basis for implementing regulations on telemedicinebased healthcare services? Second, what are the criminal law implications of  implementing telemedicine?The research method used is normative juridical, with  a legislative approach, meaning the research is conducted by examining library  materials or secondary data. The research is descriptive-analytical, focusing on  legal protection for the public using telemedicine-based healthcare systems. The  results indicate that the lack of clear regulations governing the implementation of  telemedicine-based healthcare services could lead to various criminal law  implications. Therefore, it is necessary to align with adequate regulations. Hence,  there is a need for regulatory updates that discuss in more detail how telemedicine  systems can be effectively implemented in Indonesia, ensuring safety and comfort  for the public..
