This provision includes protection in the form of assistance for returning to their place of origin, resolution of outstanding rights, handling of sick or deceased PMI, social rehabilitation and reintegration, as well as economic empowerment for PMI and their families.This study identifies how the post-employment protection of PMI is implemented by BP3MI Banten based on Law Number 18 of 2017, and examines the obstacles and solutions encountered in its implementation. The research is grounded in the theory of legal protection and the theory of the welfare state. It employs an empirical juridical method with a descriptive-analytical specification and uses both primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques include field research and literature review. The data is analyzed using a qualitative approach. The findings indicate that BP3MI Banten has made efforts to implement protection in accordance with existing regulations. However, several challenges remain, such as limited human resources, insufficient budget, unintegrated information systems, lack of public outreach, limited cooperation with destination countries, issues in law enforcement, poor regional access and infrastructure, and the role of unprofessional recruitment agents.
