A quasi-experimental design was used, with purposive sampling to assign class VIII-C as the experimental group and class VIII-D as the control group. The experimental class was taught using Twitter as a learning medium, while the control class received conventional method. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests in short message writing format. The results showed that the mean post-test score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. An independent sample t-test yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.0001, which is less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. These findings confirmed that the integration of Twitter improves vocabulary, grammar, and organization. It helps students structure short messages better by encouraging clarity and conciseness. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Twitter has a significant effect on students writing skills, particularly in writing short messages.
