description: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of acting techniques in theater arts learning among students of SMA Negeri 5 Pandeglang and to measure the learning outcomes, particularly in the cognitive domain. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted through several cycles, starting with the first cycle which focused on basic acting techniques such as relaxation, concentration, improvisation, and character embodiment. The results show a significant improvement in students' understanding of acting concepts, as reflected by the increase in their average cognitive scores from 67% in the first cycle to 83% at the end of the second cycle. This improvement is also evident in their vocal expression, gestures, and emotional embodiment during performances. Additionally, students demonstrated greater active participation and collaboration, indicating increased self-confidence and creativity. In conclusion, acting techniques are effective in enhancing the quality of theater arts education, both cognitively and affectively, and offer a promising alternative for innovative and participatory teaching methods at the secondary school level.
