description: This research aimed to analyze the growth response of shallot seedlings (Allium ascalonicum L.) to the use of planting media and watering interval. The study was   conducted in the Screenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, from September to October 2024. A factorial Randomized Group Design (RGD) was used in this study. The first factor, planting media type (M), consisted of four levels: soil (M0), soil + chicken manure fertilizer (M1), soil + husk charcoal (M2), and soil + chicken manure fertilizer + husk charcoal (M3). The second factor, watering interval (P), consisted of three levels: 1 day 2 times (P1), 2 days 2 times (P2), and 3 days 2 times (P3). The results showed that the planting media combination of soil + chicken manure fertilizer + husk charcoal (M3) yielded the highest results for the parameters of leaf number and leaf length. The watering interval of 1 day 2 times (P1) produced the highest results for plant height, leaf number, leaf length, and root length. There was an interaction between the combination of soil + chicken manure fertilizer + husk charcoal (M3) and the watering interval of 1 day 2 times (P1) for the leaf number parameter.
