description: This research aims to analyze the role of the government through Social Service agencies in dealing with the phenomenon of street children in Serang City. The background to this research is based on the widespread phenomenon of street children spreading in all corners of Serang City with various reasons behind them becoming street children. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collected through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the role of the Social Services agency needs to be improved, this is seen based on the level of satisfaction of street children. The Month of Service program which was implemented to suppress the spread of street children has not been effective in reducing the number of street children in Serang City. It is hoped that the results of this research will make a positive contribution to improving the handling of street children or PPKS (Social Welfare Service Recipients), as well as serving as a reference for further research regarding the government's role in dealing with the problem of Community Disease. In conclusion, the Month of Service program initiated by the Social Service is considered to be still ineffective in suppressing the widespread spread of street children in Serang City.
