description: This study aims to (1) determine the process of the formation of the Jakarta Book Party Community. (2) determine the activities carried out by the Jakarta Book Party Community in supporting the development of literacy culture in generation Z. (3) determine the benefits felt by book friends in the Jakarta Book Party Community in supporting the development of literacy culture in generation Z. (4) determine the obstacles of the JBP community in improving literacy culture in generation Z. The method used in this study is the phenomenological method with a qualitative approach. The data sources used are secondary data from interviews with 18 informants, as well as secondary data in this study in the form of archives or other relevant documentation, such as documents and documentation photos during the study. The data analysis technique uses 3 stages, namely data reduction, data display, and finally conclusions and verification. The results of this study indicate that (1) the process of the formation of the Jakarta Book Party shows that the literacy community can develop with a creative activity approach, the use of promotional strategies on Instagram, and the support of an inclusive social environment in Jakarta city parks. (2) activities carried out by the Jakarta Book Party community to improve literacy culture in generation Z, namely book party activities, joint library, play party, wandering party, bugar party, and talkeracy. (3) benefits felt by book friends in the Jakarta Book Party literacy activities, especially in developing speaking and critical thinking skills. (4) Obstacles in managing the Jakarta Book Party Community are in the aspect of management commitment and internal communication between management.
