There are some irresponsible individuals who misuse the sophistication of information and communication technology, the problem in society is cases of radicalism and terrorism on social media. Lack of understanding of the influence of the dangers of radicalism and terrorism through digita channels or the internet in reporting content or acts of terrorism in cyberspace, and challenges in identifying and stopping the process of online radicalism that affect individuals and groups are challenges for all of us not to be easily provoked and not to enter into criminal groups that harm many parties. This study focuses on the reality that occurs in the community in using social media. The author uses weimann’s (2015) counter terrorism theory as an analytical tool in dissecting the research to be able to describe the actions taken by the government in reducing radicalism and terrorism. This research method uses qualitative research with a content analysis approach conducted by Berelson (1952) in identifying forms of communication so that the meaning of the message conveyed can be known. The results of this study explain that the ease of communication can be used to influencee a person’s behavior and can be included in the radicalism and terrorism group, but the government has implemented a policy to reduce this problem by making efforts for the Banten peace ambassador program by the national counter-terrorism agency, one of which is by by 1. Supervision and monitoring on social media, 2. Deleting and blocking content identified as containing radicalism and terrorism, 3. Counter propaganda that opposes all forms that cause division and loss, 4. Regulation and policy by making rules to impose sanctions on violators, 5. Public education and awareness, and 6. Development of security technology. However in this application there are challenges and support is needed from all parties in fighting radicalism and terrorism on social media. date: 2025 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/1/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_Fulltext.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/2/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_01.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/3/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/4/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_03.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/5/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/6/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/7/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_Reff.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/48542/8/Rigan%20Adam%20Syahdana_6670180117_Lamp.pdf identifier: Syahdana, Rigan Adam (2025) BANTEN PEACE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM AS AN EFFORT TO COUNTER RADICALISM AND TERRORISM BY THE NATIONAL COUNTER-TERRORISM AGENCY.
