description: This research is motivated by the problem of implementing food waste  management in Tigaraksa District which has not been managed properly and  effectively, with an environmentally friendly food waste management model. Waste  management in Tigaraksa District is carried out by the Tangerang Regency  DLHK, the powers and interests given are regulated by law in order to implement  the principles and objectives properly. Article 4 paragraph (1) of Tangerang  Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2023 explains that the regional  government in this case the Tangerang Regency DLHK has the authority to  determine an integrated waste management site. The identification of this  research problem is how to implement food waste management in Tigaraksa  District in order to realize the SDGs and the model for implementing food waste  management in Tigaraksa District in order to realize the SDGs. The theory used is  the theory of authority and the theory of the welfare state. The research method is  empirical juridical. The research specifications are descriptive analytical. The  data source is primary data supported by secondary data. Data collection  techniques are by interviews and related documents. Data are obtained and  analyzed descriptively with a qualitative approach method. The results of the  study are the implementation of management and the model for implementing food  waste management in Tigaraksa District. This research shows that the Tangerang  Regency Government carries out food waste management by giving delegation to  the Tangerang Regency DLHK through special regulations in Article 4 paragraph  (1) of Tangerang Regent Regulation Number 96 of 2016. Tigaraksa District has 1  (one) organic waste management site that includes food waste, namely TPST 3R  Mustika Ikhlas. There are 3 (three) models for implementing food waste  management at TPST 3R Mustika Ikhlas, namely: (1) Maggot Culvation, (2)  Ecoenzym, and (3) Hollow Bricks. The scope of the application of the food waste  management model in Tigaraksa District which is still minimal shows that the  Tangerang Regency DLHK has not carried out its duties optimally in improving  the welfare of the community.
