This study focused on optimizing inventory costs in MSMEs to improve operational performance and business competitiveness. The implementation of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), and Reorder Point (ROP) methods in raw material inventory management—specifically coconut sugar as applied by UMKM Kawung LDK—has been proven effective in reducing procurement and storage expenses while maintaining adequate stock levels. Using the EOQ approach, the optimal order quantity increased significantly from 150 kg to 894 kg (496%), while the frequency of ordering decreased from 12 times to just 2 times annually (83%). The reorder point rose from 150 kg to 422 kg (181%), and safety stock levels increased from 150 kg to 398 kg (165%) to better anticipate demand fluctuations and supply delays.
