This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. A total of 63 grades of SMP PGRI 2 Pinang were selected as samples using the total sample acceptance technique. Participants were divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instructions on video recording tasks and the control group continued traditional textbook-based learning. Data collection was conducted by oral performance, consisting of pre-tests and post-tests. Pretests were administered to both groups to determine initial language skills before treatment. After the intervention, both groups were given a post-test to assess improvement in speech skills. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS version 26. The results before testing were 0.651, which exceeded the 0.05 threshold. This indicates that there is no significant difference in the initial speech between the two groups. However, the post-test significance was 0,000, below 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the post-treatment experimental group and the control group.
