Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan diluar jam pembelajaran dengan tiga hari partisipan membaca secara langsung dalam pengamatan peneliti dan tiga hari partisipan membaca sepenuhnya dirumah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 21 siswa terpilih dengan pertimbangan rekomendasi dari guru, nilai bahasa Inggris maupun ekstrakulikuler, dan kerelaan untuk menjadi partisipan. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berupa observasi dan wawancara, dan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa kuisioner. Dari hasil yang didapat siswa mampu dan mengerti cara menggunakan ReadWorks. Mereka juga menyatakan mereka setuju dengan penggunaan ReadWorks sebagai media membaca dengan persentase 72%. Mereka mengatakan ada banyak manfaat yang bisa didapat tetapi juga terdapat kesulitan yang mereka hadapi. Masalah utama mereka adalah keterbatasan kosakata sehingga teks yang dibaca menjadi sulit untuk dipahami. Meski begitu mereka perlu dimonitor atau diberi aturan agar tetap konsisten dalam membaca. Pasalnya, cukup banyak dari mereka yang mengalami penurunan progres membaca ketika membaca sendiri. abstract: The aim of this research is to analyze the process of implementing ReadWorks for daily reading for six days with four observations, and to determine student responses regarding the benefits, difficulties and preferences of implementing ReadWorks through questionnaires and interviews with selected participants. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design. This research was conducted outside of learning hours with three days of participants reading directly under researcher observation and three days of participants reading fully at home. The subjects of this research were 21 students selected based on recommendations from teachers, English grade and extracurricular, also willingness to become participants. Data collection in this research used a qualitative approach in the form of observations and interviews, and a quantitative approach in the form of questionnaires. From the results obtained, students are able and understand how to use ReadWorks. They also stated that they agreed with the use of ReadWorks as a reading media with a percentage of 72%. They said there were many benefits to be gained but there were also difficulties they faced. Their main problem is limited vocabulary, for this reason, the passages they read becomes difficult to understand. However, they need to be monitored or given rules to remain consistent in reading.
