High schools description: Math anxiety is a negative emotional response to math. This is usually in the form of nervousness or fear when thinking about and doing a math task. This research is a descriptive correlative research with a quantitative approach to explain whether there is a relationship between math anxiety and students' math learning outcomes. The design used in this research is descriptive design and correlation design. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mathematics anxiety level and mathematics learning outcomes of junior high school students based on mathematics ability. The population of this study is class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padarincang as many as 239 students, using Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling and Cluster Random Sampling techniques obtained a sample of 71 students. The data analysis technique used is Rank Spearman correlation analysis and Kruskal Wallis analysis.
