description: Vocational skills are skills possessed by a person to support work in a particular  field. Vocational skills are divided into two, namely basic vocational skills and  special vocational skills. With various kinds of problems that occur in the BBPVP  Serang-Banten city related to the work readiness of the training participants, the  purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between vocational skills and  the work readiness of industrial welding training participants at the BBPVP SerangBanten city. This study uses a quantitative approach with the correlational method.  The population in this study used a total of 48 industrial welding trainees. The steps  of data collection in this study used questionnaires and documentation techniques.  The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a relationship between basic  vocational skills (X1) and work readiness (Y) of industrial welding training  participants at BBPVP Serang-Banten city, this is evidenced by the results of the  sign level. <5% and the value of r arithmetic > r table, which is 2.467>2015, so Ha  is accepted and H0 is rejected, (2) There is a relationship between special vocational  skills (X2) and work readiness (Y) of industrial welding training participants at  BBPVP Serang city- Banten, as evidenced by the results of the sign level. >5% and  the value of r arithmetic > r table, which is 3,018>2,015, so Ha is accepted and H0  is rejected, (3) There is a relationship between basic vocational skills and special  vocational skills (X1, X2) with work readiness (Y) industrial welding training  participants in BBPVP Serang-Banten city, as evidenced by the results of the sign  level. >5% and the calculated r value > r table, which is 5.111>3.20, then Ha is  accepted and H0 is rejected. The R value obtained is R = 0.430, which means that  in the relationship between vocational skills and work readiness of industrial  welding training participants at BBPVP Serang-Banten city, there is a strong  enough relationship or quite large, positive, and significant.
