description: Character education is an important aspect in shaping students'   personalities, but in practice, there are still some students who appear to lack strong   characters, even though they have participated in scouting extracurricular activities.   This raises the question of how much influence scouting actually has on the   formation of students' character, especially in terms of integrity and independence.       The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of   scouting extracurricular activities on strengthening the integrity and independence   character of students at SMP PGRI 2 Pinang, Tangerang City. Taking a student   population consisting of 193 students at SMP PGRI 2 Pinang, Tangerang City, the   sample in this study used the Slovin technique with a 5% error rate of 130 students.   Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, observation and   documentation.      This research method uses correlation analysis with a quantitative approach.   The data was then processed and analyzed using the SPSS-25 application. The   results of the study showed that: 1) scouting extracurricular activities have a   positive and significant effect on integrity character, 2) scouting extracurricular   activities have a positive and significant effect on the independent character of   students at SMP PGRI 2 Pinang, Tangerang City.
