description: History of the Development of Baduy Village Settlement are the main focus of this research. The aim of the research is to describe the history of the Baduy community settlement in Cipangembar Village and to understand the social, economic and religious life of the Baduy Settlement community in Cipangembar Village. This research method uses a historical method with stages of topic selection, source collection, verification, interpretation and historiography. The analysis in this research uses the theory of social change put forward by Selo Soemardjan and Soerjono Soekanto. This theory is used as a method for analyze the history of social, economic, and religious changes in the Baduy Settlement community. The research results show that Cipangembar Village, Leuwidamar Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak Regency, West Java is the first Baduy Settlement village built by the government. The Outer Baduy community who took part in the Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Terasing (PKMT) Program in Cipangembar Village succeeded in improving their standard of living. The guidance provided by the government is the main factor in increasing their standard of living. These guidiance are also the cause of social, economic, and religious changes in the Baduy Settlement community.
