description: Equality is the touchstone of justice. In the context of education, gender equality and social roles are encouraged. This can be seen from the government's encouragement in providing inclusive teaching materials. In this research, the author examines Indonesian Textbooks for Grade VII. The theoretical analysis is based on Fakih's gender equality theory using qualitative methods. The results show that although inclusive education and gender equality are government programs, this has not been reflected in the teaching materials of Indonesian Language Textbook Grade VII. The researcher found that there is still gender bias both textually and visually in the object of the study..
