note: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh Bahasa Inggris terhadap keterampilan menyimak siswa dalam teks prosedur di SMAN 1 Cikeusal. Pretest, treatment, dan post-test merupakan bagian dari desain penelitian quasi-eksperimental yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Untuk penelitian ini, 60 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel. 30 siswa dari kelas X9 sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan 30 siswa dari kelas X8 sebagai kelas kontrol, membentuk masing-masing kelas. 40 tes pilihan ganda digunakan dalam pengumpulan data. Tes pra dan pasca diberikan kepada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Untuk memverifikasi hipotesis, Independent Sample t-test digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil pre-test dan post-test menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p-output dari independent sample t test adalah <.001 < 0,05, T-table untuk df = 58 adalah 2,002. Hasilnya adalah 4.550 > 2.002. Hal ini berarti t-hitung > t-tabel, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan podcast bahasa Inggris dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mendengarkan siswa pada materi teks prosedur.
abstract: This research aims to asertain whether or not there is an influence of English on students' listening skills in text procedures at SMAN 1 Cikeusal. Pretest, treatment, and post-test are all part of the quasi-experimental research design
used in this study. For this study, 60 students were selected as samples. 30 students from class X9 as the experimental class, and 30 students from class X8 as the control class, make up each class. 40 multiple-choice tests are used in data
collection. Pre- and post-tests were administered to the experimental and control groups. To verify the hypothesis, the Independent Sample t-test was used to analyse the pre-test and post-test results using SPSS 27 software. The research results show that the p-output from the independent sample t test is <.001 < 0.05, the T-table for df = 58 is 2.002. The result is 4,550 > 2,002. This means that t-count > t-table then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the findings, students who learn by using English podcasts can improve students' listening skills in procedure text material.
