description: Sexual violence is a criminal act that can have physical and psychological  consequences for the victim. Sexual violence can happen to anyone, including  children. Based on data from the Online Information System for the Protection of  Women and Children (SIMFONI PPA), throughout 2022 there will be 12,625  cases of sexual violence against children. In an effort to provide protection for  children from criminal acts, one of which is protection from sexual violence, the  government issued Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection where  the Law regulates the right to restitution that can be obtained by child victims of  violent crimes. sexual. In this research, researchers used normative juridical  research methods which were carried out by examining library materials or  secondary data consisting of primary legal materials and secondary legal  materials. This research approach is the Law Approach and the Case Approach.  The theories used in this research are Legal Protection Theory and Justice Theory.  From the results of this research, it is known that Indonesia has regulated legal  protection for child victims of criminal acts in the form of restitution, which is  contained in PP No. 43 of 2017, KUHAP, Law no. 31 of 2022, UU No. 12 of 2022,  MA Ministerial Decree no. 1 of 2022, and PP no. 7 of 2018. As for the  implementation of regulations regarding the right to restitution, they have  actually been implemented, but not optimally.
