description: This study aims to understand the meaning of labor rights by female journalists in  Media Kabar Banten by using Alfred Schutz's phenomenological approach. This  qualitative study investigated the experiences of female journalists, their  motivations, and their subjective perspectives on rights such as maternity rights,  protection from discrimination, flexible working hours, and equal employment  opportunities. This study identified because motives, which relate to past  experiences, and in-order-to motives, which reflect their aspirations to create a fair  and inclusive work environment. The results show that women journalists interpret  their labor rights as part of creating justice and appreciation for what they do at  work. Factors driving this interpretation include their past experiences with  injustice and gender bias. However, key motivations include trying to balance  professional and personal responsibilities, as well as changing the work culture in  favor of women. In practice, female journalists face many challenges. Among them  is that there are still gender stereotypes while women's labor rights such as  matrenity rights in Kabar Banten media have been fulfilled. They also see this  struggle as a form of collective awareness to support women's rights in the media  sector. This study found that the complex interactions between women journalists'  past experiences, their future orientation, and the social context at work influence  the way they understand labor rights. These results suggest that supporting justice  in journalism requires inclusive and gender-responsive labor policies.
