The method used in this research is the historical method, which includes heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The analysis in this research uses the theory of giving by Marcell Mauss and the theory of cultural value orientation by Kluckhohn. This theory is used to be a method of analyzing the gift in the seren taun ceremony and the value contained in it. The results of the research on the social & cultural conditions of Kasepuhan Karang in early 2003 when their land was under the supervision of the Gunung Halimun Salak National Park (TNGHS) there was a conflict between the TNGHS as well as with one of the Islamic organizations in 2009 and 2012 at the seren taun event, automatically seren taun, pare gede festival and also pilgrimages to the Lebak Kosala Site stopped. The development of Kasepuhan Karang's seren taun traditional ceremony in early 2000 was still very thick with culture, but in 2009 and 2012 due to attacks from Islamic organizations seren taun was limited to prayers only. When it received a regional regulation in 2012, the seren taun of Kasepuhan Karang was again lively. The values contained in the Traditional Ceremony of Seren Taun Wewengkon Adat Kasepuhan Karang have cultural values (religion, deliberation, solidarity, obedience and togetherness). As well as having meanings, among others: the meaning of human life (responsibility, not greedy, and hard work), the meaning of human relationships with surrounding creatures (believing in supernatural beings and not hurting living creatures in nature), perceptions of time (farming time calculations), the meaning of work, work or charity from human actions (farming is the main job of Kasepuhan residents, culture as work, and human deeds), and human relationships with fellow humans (not taking other people's property rights and helping others). date: 2024 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/1/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_FULL%20TEXT.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/2/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_CP.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/3/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_01.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/4/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_02.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/5/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_03.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/6/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_04.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/7/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_05.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/8/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_REF.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/47888/9/MUHAMMAD%20SHAFWAN%20FAUZAN_2288200001_LAMP.pdf identifier: Shafwan Fauzan, Muhammad (2024) PERKEMBANGAN UPACARA SEREN TAUN WEWENGKON ADAT KASEPUHAN KARANG 2000-2022.
