description: Situ is a body of water, either naturally or artificially formed, sourced from springs   or rain. Situ Rawa Arum, located in Tegal Wangi Village, Grogol District, Cilegon   City, Banten Province, spans 17 hectares and is utilized for fishing, irrigation,   tourism, and waste disposal. The area has experienced degradation due to the influx   of domestic, industrial, and agricultural waste, leading to siltation and an increase   in aquatic plants like water hyacinths. This study aims to analyze copper   contamination in tilapia liver and assess water quality in Situ Rawa Arum.   Conducted from July to November 2024, the research involved sampling at five   stations: industrial waste disposal, central, inlet, agricultural areas, and outlets. Key   water quality parameters, including temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, and   ammonia, were measured at each site. The study found that the average copper   content in tilapia liver was 5.858 mg/kg in the first iteration and 4.022 mg/kg in the   second, both exceeding the safe limit of 0.2 mg/kg. Copper levels in water averaged   0.0256 mg/L in the first iteration and 0.011 mg/L in the second, with the first   iteration surpassing the quality standard. The correlation test between liver copper   levels and water copper concentration showed a strong correlation, with values of   0.72 in the first repeat, 0.68 in the second, and an average of 0.61 across stations.   These findings highlight the necessity for increased monitoring and better water   management to prevent further contamination.
