Fish are one of the biodiversity that makes up the river ecosystem. The diversity of fish species reflects the complexity and stability of the fish community. This study aims to identify food habits, analyze eating patterns and competition, and determine the food availability of fish communities in the Cikalumpang River. The research was conducted for three months (August, September, and October 2024). The parameters observed were the relationship between length and weight of fish, relative abundance of fish, relative gut length, index stomach content, index of preponderance, niche area, and fish overlap. The result of the study is that 12 species of fish were caught. The food groups found are phytoplankton, zooplankton, protozoa, insect larvae, worms. The food habits of fish during the study in the Cikalumpang River are classified as carnivorous, omnivorous, and herbivorous. Fish feeding habits patterns that occur during the study in the Cikalumpang River are actively foraging during the day (diurnal) at 10:00-15:00 WIB and actively foraging at night (nocturnal) at 17:00-22:00 WIB. Competition and food availability during the study based on the results of the overlap value of competition between fish species classified as having the same food habits show competition in choosing food. %D 2025 %I UNIVERSITAS SULTAN AGENG TIRTAYASA %A RAFI ADITYA FERDIAWAN %O Sungai Cikalumpang terletak di Desa Kalumpang, Kecamatan Padarincang, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten. Ikan merupakan salah satu keanekaragaman hayati yang membentuk ekosistem sungai. Keanekaragaman jenis ikan mencerminkan kompleksitas dan kestabilan komunitas ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebiasaan makan, menganalisis pola makan dan kompetisi, serta mengetahui ketersediaan makanan komunitas ikan di Sungai Cikalumpang. Penelitian dilakukan selama tiga bulan (Agustus, September, dan Oktober 2024). Parameter yang diamati adalah hubungan antara panjang dan berat ikan, kelimpahan relatif ikan, panjang usus relatif, indeks isi perut, indeks kemelimpahan, luas relung, dan tumpang tindih ikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tertangkapnya 12 spesies ikan. Kelompok makanan yang ditemukan adalah fitoplankton, zooplankton, protozoa, larva serangga, cacing. Kebiasaan makan ikan selama penelitian di Sungai Cikalumpang tergolong karnivora, omnivora, dan herbivora. Pola kebiasaan makan ikan yang terjadi selama penelitian di Sungai Cikalumpang adalah aktif mencari makan pada siang hari (diurnal) pada pukul 10.00-15.00 WIB dan aktif mencari makan pada malam hari (nokturnal) pada pukul 17.00-22.00 WIB. Persaingan dan ketersediaan makanan selama penelitian berdasarkan hasil nilai tumpang tindih persaingan antar spesies ikan yang tergolong memiliki kebiasaan makan yang sama menunjukkan adanya persaingan dalam memilih makanan.
