Apart from that, government procurement of goods and services is also expected to be able to provide value for money and contribute to increasing the use of domestic products, increasing the role of micro and medium businesses, as well as sustainable costs. The research aims to determine the urgency of procuring goods and services for medical equipment from abroad in view of Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2021 concerning government procurement of goods/services and the obstacles faced in implementing the procurement of goods/services for medical equipment from abroad in Lebak Regency. The research method that researchers use is normative juridical, using secondary data. Regarding data collection techniques by searching, collecting and reviewing statutory regulations and legislative plans as a result of research, scientific journal. The results of this research are as follows: First, the urgency of procuring goods and services for medical devices from abroad in view of Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2021 concerning Government Procurement of Goods/Services is to ensure the availability of quality medical devices that meet standards; Second, the obstacles in procuring medical equipment from abroad in Lebak Regency are quite diverse and are closely related to complicated bureaucracy and strict regulations in procuring medical equipment from abroad which are also significant obstacles. Procurement procedures for imported goods often require lengthy administrative processes and coordination between various government agencies. This causes delays in procuring urgently needed medical equipment.
