This research method uses empirical juridical  methods as the main method and normative juridical methods as supporting  methods. This legal research uses inductive thinking analysis for empirical  jurisprudence, namely a method that starts from specific knowledge or individual  or general facts. Deductive thinking analysis for normative jurisprudence, namely  by thinking using analysis that is based on understanding or several general facts,  then examining the results to solve specific problems. The results of this research  are, firstly, the determination of electoral districts which are not in accordance  with the 7 principles of drawing up electoral districts. Therefore, the  determination of electoral districts is determined based on the principles of  drawing up electoral districts. The determination of electoral districts can be  determined from the population and area area, so the calculation of seats for  political parties and candidates for members of the Provincial DPRD can also be  determined. Second, after Constitutional Court Decision No. 80/PUU-XX/2022,  the authority to determine electoral districts was returned to the KPU. There is an  opinion that the KPU did not make any revisions in determining electoral  districts, only moved it from the Attachment to Law No. 7 of 2017. The KPU  carried out a public test in the arrangement of Provincial DPRD electoral  districts in each Province. As well as regulating the mechanism for forming  electoral districts for the New Autonomous Region. However, not all provinces  experienced changes in electoral districts.
