The primary challenge in carp farming is the high cost of commercial feed, which can contribute up to 70% of total production expenses. Therefore, identifying affordable alternative protein sources is essential. Indigofera zollingeriana, a protein and amino acid-rich plant, shows potential as an alternative to traditional feed ingredients like soybean meal. This research aimed to evaluate the growth of Sinyonya carp given feed made from Indigofera zollingeriana leaf meal. The study was conducted from May to July 2024 at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Fisheries Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Sinyonya common carp fry was kept in an aquarium measuring 60x40x40 cm3 for 45 days. Common carp (4.61 ± 0.04 g) were stocked at 10 fish per aquarium, and feeding was performed until apparent satiation thrice daily at 07.00, 12.00 and 16.00 WIB. The research applied a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments according to the concentration of Indigofera zollingeriana in the feed formulation to protein ratio (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) with three replications. The best results were found in treatment D (75% indigofera), which was shown by the absolute weight of 15.37±0.12 g, feed conversion ratio of 2.05±0.04, specific growth rate of 4.89%±0.03 %/days, and protein retention of 23.91±0.93 % which were significantly different (p<0.05) from the control treatment. It can be concluded that indigofera influences the growth rate of Sinyonya common carp and can be used as an alternative feed ingredient to substitute soybean meal.
