Fisheries. Angling description: A wound is a partial or complete severance of skin tissue on the body that can be caused by various contacts, one of which is sharp object trauma. Wound management must be able to create a moist environment around the wound to accelerate the wound healing process. Hydrogel wound dressings have been shown to be effective in accelerating the wound healing process because hydrogels are able to provide a moist environment. The aim of this research was obtained the perfect concentration of chitosan based on hydrogel to made a wound healing process faster. The research has carried out from October to Desember 2024. The method used in this study is an experimental method, namely making PVA-carrageenan chitosan-based hydrogels and applying the hydrogels to test animals, namely mice (Mus musculus) consisting of 4 treatment groups. The results of this research can be seen that for 6 days the wound given on the back of mice is tightly closed and there is no redness and inflammatory around the wound site. In addition, this study also conducted physical characterization of the hydrogel by testing the swelling ratio and gel fraction. The Swelling ratio obtained has a value of 360,04% up to 1.353,16% which figure meets the criteria to be used as a wound dressing hydrogel.
